Snow Date

Saturday morning we woke up to snow on the ground! That afternoon Riley and Brad had their first snow date. Hope you enjoy some of the pics and video (we have another video that doesn't want to load right now--we'll try again later) from their fun day.

Riley and Daddy braving the cold.

What a cute pair!

One, Two, Three...

Wheeeeee!
Riley having so much fun!

Trying to put our socks back on.

Riley had a blast sliding into the snow:

Silly Times

We've had a great week and a half or so since our last post. We had some beautiful weather (70s) followed promptly with a very snowy and cold weekend. Here are some fun pics and videos: When do we get to go out and play?

Our cute little pout.

Riley loves to wear big girl shoes.

Good thing I don't wear heels much anymore.

Riley and Mommy cuddling.

Check out all of my teeth!
Riley loves puppies.

Best Buddies

HUGS!

Yucky boy germs.

We definitely need to watch what we say and do now. Riley watched me struggle to open up a jar and now walks around straining and grrrring like mommy did. She usually does it spontaneously, but by the time I get the camera out she's no longer interested in entertaining us.

Hello Again!

It's been so long since our last post! Hope everyone has been well! Lots has happened and I'm not sure of the best way to get caught up. Here's a summary of the last couple months: Riley and I were able to spend nearly two weeks back in NY at Grandma and Grandpa Watkins' house for Christmas. Here is a link to my mom's Christmas album. Lots of pics of Riley including our Christmas card "photo shoot": http://family.webshots.com/album/569645013JhMGXY In mid-January Grandma and Grandpa MacLachlan came to visit and to celebrate a late Christmas with us. We had a blast spending time together and were able to see each other again a couple weeks later in Tulsa, OK where we celebrated Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa Biedermann's 60th wedding anniversary. We were lucky enough to get more visitors last weekend when Aunt Sarah and Uncle Brad came into town. Sarah and I had a great time wedding dress shopping and we all enjoyed checking out Lawrence and the KU grad program there. (We're hoping Aunt Sarah gets accepted into the PhD program, so we'll have her and Uncle Brad close by!!) In between visits Riley has been keeping us busy and I've been chipping away on the flowers for Sarah and Brad's wedding. Once Riley gets over her obsession with cameras I hope to get more videos and pics for the blog again. If you're interested, here's an album of some more pics from the past couple months: http://family.webshots.com/album/570205040KZvgUM

I guess we'll start with the most recent first:

Reading with Aunt Sarah and Uncle Brad

Riley loved flirting with Uncle Brad. By the end of their visit they were best buds.

This is what has been eating up most of my free time lately. This is going to be Sarah's bouquet. I think I'm pretty much done with it. Let me know if you have any suggestions for improving on it.

All dressed up for Church.

Riley found one of cousin Kim's old name tags and had to wear it most of the time we were in Tulsa.

Wonder where she gets it from?

Congratulations on 60 great years!!

Riley had a great time playing with Aunt Lynn while Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa opened cards.

We love to "perform."

I wonder what I can throw on the floor next?

Riley loves her new purse and accessories from Uncle Sean and Aunt Steph!

Reading "The Night Before Christmas" with Grandpa.

Checking out the book a bit closer.

Getting ready for the day.

A Vision in Pink

We've been busy getting ready for the holidays, but thought we should pause for a moment to share some of our favorite pics from the past couple weeks. Hope everyone is getting into the holiday spirit and doing well!

What is this stuff?

It looks pretty cool.

It IS cool! Riley was too little last year to enjoy the snow, so today was her first real interaction with the white stuff. Needless to say, she loved it!

On the Move

"Helping" to put away groceries. (She managed to empty the contents of the diaper bag and my wallet plus get into the soda in under 20 seconds.)
Little Half Pint wearing daddy's credentials from the Big 12 Championship game. We had to wait until she fell asleep to take them off of her.

Oh no! Shoe Hand!

Riley loves to share!

Giving her dolly its binky.

"Performing" on the Fireplace
Double Fisting the Cheese Sticks (we stole mommy's)

Checking Out the Plate

There goes dinner!

Aunt Sarah's Engaged!!! Welcome B. Nich!!

There's going to be another Brad in the family! My middle sister Sarah got engaged to another great Brad this past weekend. Our Brad's have really bonded over the past few years over SEC football (Sarah's Brad played for Ole Miss) and their love for the New England Patriots and PBR. We're SO excited that he's OFFICIALLY going to become Uncle Brad.
We also want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. Enjoy all the tryptophan and football!

Aunt Sarah and Uncle Brad last New Year

Aunt Sarah and Riley last Thanksgiving.

Hangin' with Aunt Sarah in July. According to Grandma Watkins, Riley has the exact same temperament that Aunt Sarah had when she was little--no wonder they get along so great!!

Eatting Mor Chikin

The last couple weeks have been pretty low key for us. We do have a big Watkins family announcement that we'll save for another post. Until then, here are some of our favorite pics:
What a little stinker!
We brought Riley to Chick-fil-A for lunch as a reward for being a very good girl while getting her flu shot. She loves to people watch and even met the Chick-fil-A cow.
S-T-R-E-T-C-H

Already mocking Mommy.

Ta Da!

Up to no good!

Telling her monkey it is time to wake up.

Juggling two animals at once!

Trying to sneak into the pantry.

Already a master of manipulation! It is SO hard to say no to anything with a face like that staring back at me.

Playing peek-a-boo with Daddy.

Little Mommy

We love to steal drinks.

Our new trick is balancing various objects on our head.

Still Crazy!!
